Interviewer: Tarja Turunen, how is your summer going?
Tarja: Couldn't be going any better, it's a warm and summery day. I'm waiting for summer and the new album. I'll be working hard on the album in fact so unfortunately I can enjoy Finland's summer quite little. But I'm happy, extremely happy.
I: Are you going to spend your vacation days here or in South-America?
Tarja: Here, during this summer our base is Finland, but we will record the album in Ireland, next week we have our first recordings, the last moments are here.
I: About the album, can you describe or reveal any special features from the album?
Tarja: Surely the will be plenty of peculiarities. I could say that it's a wide or versatile album. I've tried, when it's my solo album, to express how I am as a singer, the diversities in that. There is some heavier stuff, but also some softer too. And that has been the greatest challenge on this album, to achieve an all-inclusive sound.
I: Do you think fans from the Nightwish time will still find Tarja Turunen?
Tarja: I do believe and hope so. I do hope that from my heart. And I'll also mention that the album won't be only heavy metal, but there will be other stuff too. But I also think the metal audience will find something for them as well.
I: Now when we're in Marimekko's fashion show I have to ask, what does Marimekko mean to Finnish women?
Tarja: It's extremely.. It means that us Finnish women are powerful persons, we are independent women. Marimekko as an independent and powerful company, that has now expanded in international markets is really important to us. It's such a beautiful and tender thing and we should be really proud of it.
