Q: You have done one gig with Anette now, were you more nervous about that one or the first time you played in Tavastia back in year 1 and 2?

T: The Tallinn show falls into the same category with our first time in Lepakko 9.1.1998, where before the gig we were laying under the table in the backstage throwing up thinking this is the end of the world. A bit similar feeling in Tallinn. But, that kind of feeling has an enormous amount of energy and if you're able to channel it to the right things, the result can be what it actually was in Tallinn's show; a bull's eye.

Q: When you're under the table throwing up like that, are you able to just wipe your moustache and hit the stage and play, or does the stomach still turn during the first song?

T: Something clicks during the first 30 seconds, when you hit the first chord in the keyboard and see it's working, the feeling (nervousness) goes away.

Q: So how did the crowd receive Anette?

M: Very well. I think they received her wonderfully. You could notice during the first 2 or 3 songs, some people had hands in the air immediately, and some people were checking you out a bit, but after you work through a few songs and people will hear how the girl really is singing, the rest was pure goodness after that point.

Q: So how was the girl herself?

M: She was having a pretty good time, though before the show she was completely falling to pieces. She was coming up with demands like "I need a ride back to the hotel immediately after the gig, I won't talk to anyone, I won't see anyone, I won't.." And then after the show I went to her and grinned "Well, are you gonna go to the hotel?" "Noo, I wanna partyyy!"

Q: So, very successfull (the gig). Now you are once again heading to the world tour. How has Nightwish been preparing for such a massive tour? Standard meditation, spiritualization, some yoga perhaps?

T: Well, we've been rehearsing like crazy, that's the A and the O. But I think each one of us have been thinking about the upcoming 2 years, and trying to orientate oneself to the things the best way possible. It requires an eye for psychology, both towards oneself and also the others.

M: Yeah, and we had these discussions during the summer where we agreed upon some rules what we have capacity for, and also what might tear us up. So in that sense, this time we were maybe a bit wiser than before.

Q: What do you expect of this upcoming tour?

T: It would be so cool if after the 2 years we would still be together with this same line-up.
