Tarja Turunen had a big smile on her face yesterday when she was in the presentation of Wella's new autumn products in Helsinki's Arabia.

- I have a warm and good feeling about the past summer and the future, Tarja rejoiced.

After the current year the singer will return to heavier music. Her first solo album that will go into international distribution comes out next year. The contract is tailored with German's Universal Music.

- It'll be a heavier Tarja with more rock. Musically the album will have elements from heavy, but there'll also a trace of classical music for example in the form of a symphony orchestra, the singer reveals.

She adds that it won't definetly be a heavy metal album.

- I hope the album can reflect who I am as a person. I have a sensitive and a tougher side. If I can mediate both of them and everything in between to my listeners, I'll be glad.

Tarja has a different summer in nine years behind her. During that the soprano has shown that she is much more than Nightwish's former vocalist.

- It is a huge change when you have done rock for ten years straight, she confesses.

The trendier Tarja

Soprano Tarja Turunen suprises with her new hair cut. The long hair's colour has changed into a darker tone again and the trendy bangs is something new. The change is connected with Tarja's new role as a leader figure of Sassoons hair products.
The beautiful singer feels comfortable in her new look.
- The hair was cut on Thursday last week and when I left the haidresser I watced every shop-window that who's the freek looking back. But I like the hair, the bangs make me look more sensitive and perkier, Tarja smiles and hints that more hair changes lie ahead.
Tarja presented her new style in Selective Brands hair show last night. Her husband Marcelo Cabuli was with her and he seemed pleased with his spouses new apperience.
Tarja is also otherwise fine: the new christmas album's recodings are done at her part and in October Tarja and Marcelo return to their home in Buenos Aires.
- I'll be back in Finland in November when the album and tour rush begin, Tarja tells.
